According to Mohabat News, Iranian government has increased the pressure on christian converts in the south-western province of Khuzestan by security guards in recent years.
A number of citizens named ,Amin Khaki, Hossein Baroun Zadeh (Daniel), Mohammad Bahrami and Rahman (Zia) had been arrested in Ahwaz, Khuzestan, in 2014. After few monthes they were released temporarily on bail.After that
they were sentenced to one year imprisonment to Ahwaz central prison,on June 2016.
In December 2011,also a group of Christians ,Pastor Farhad Sabok Rouh, his wife Shahnaz, Davoud Ali-Khani (David) and Naser Zamen Dezfuli,were arrested.
Another group of christians were arrested in late 2010 and early 2011 and a number of house churches in Ahwaz, Andimeshk and Dezful were
identified by government forces. The arrestees were sent to prison after a long term interrogation.
Nourollah Ghebti-Zadeh, Mostafa Shokrollahi, Khalil Yar-Ali and Neshan Saeedi were also arrested during these period.
Christians in Khuzestan province have a long history of activities and most of the church leaders have been arrested. Leaders and members of the» Assembly of God church» has been under serious pressure,many of their services in Farsi have been forbidden.
