In recent weeks,while Christmas is approaching the pressure on Christians has been raising by security agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran,and a number of Christian citizens were arrested in several cities of Iran.
According to Mohabat News, after two weeks,informed sources reported that, Jamshid Derakhshan, was arrested by security agencies and transferred to the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.
On Wednesday, December 12, 2018,he announced his family by a short telephone call.Derakhshan and his family live in Karaj.
Informed sources say he was going to Hashtgerd city on Friday, November 30, 2018,with one of his friends to participate in a house church,but he didn’t come back home .
His family didn’t received no news in pursuite of Jamshid and,no government agency was taking any responsobility.
Jamshid Derakhshan is 64 years old, and has converted to Christianity about 30 years ago. His family worry about his health,because of his stomach sickness.
The pressure on Christians is intensifying by security agencies, in recent weeks by approaching to Christmas eve,and a number of Christian citizens have been arrested in several cities of Iran.
The official Islamic Republic media,has claimed that arrestees had planned to conquer Iran and connected with Israel. In recent years many of minorities have been arrested on charge of national security acts.
The wave of arrests of political and social activists and religious dissidents,has been increased by the Islamic Republic’s judiciary and intelligence agencies,and after the arrest of dual nationalities, journalists, reporters and labor activists, it was time to arrest environmental activists, and some of statisticians and finally Christians.
