Naser Navard-Goltapeh,were sentenced to 10 years prison terms,by verdict of Mashaallah Ahmadzade judge
in Iranian Revolutionary Court ,branch 26, on May,2017.He has been transferred to the Evin prison in Tehran to serve his sentence.
Mr.Navard-Goltapeh had appealed his sentence but it was rejected on November 12, 2017 in branch 36 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran.
Kiaarash Aalipour ,the spokesman for the Article 18 organization, told Mohabat News about accusations of Mr. Navard goltapeh, that the court issued a verdict base on a report by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, that he attampted to damage the
national security through holding illegal house church organizations, and the court refused to present the reports and the documents to his attorney.
Also he added, “In the appeals court, the judge surprisingly asked Mr. Navard-Goltapeh to convince the Ministry of Intelligence of his innocence in order to ease his sentence”!
In earlier cases as well, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence had asked Christian prisoners to “cooperate” with them in order for their sentences to be eased. It is not clear what the ministry means by “cooperation”.
