According to Mohabat News ,Carelessness and the lack of protection of
ancient structures by Islamic Republic of Iran has caused many other Christian historical places to be destroyed by unknown persons every day .
Iran government is removing all signs of Christianity by certain goals or due to lack of sufficient budgets for maintenance of these valuable places.
Also,the Islamic group of ISIS has ruined many Christian structures and old churches in the Syria and Iraq due to civil wars,and actions of Islamic Republic of Iran is similar to,ISIS from this point of view.
Islamic government of Iran targets the Christian places most of all.
For example, the municipality of Ahvaz has destroyed the Christian cemetery and stolen the crosses on the graves of Armenians and the Polish,in recent years.
Also the British Cemetery of the Christians in Busheher has been destroyed. Its ground has been sold in order to build many new constructions.
Also, the historical cemetery in ” Ghale Dokhtar” area in Kerman Province, was destroyed completely. This cemetery was approximately more than 200 years old.
Historical Church of Kerman was also registerd as one of the national monuments of Iran in 2008. This historical church was completely destroyed with unknown reasons in August, 2012.
The cemetery of Christians in Tehran (Dulab) which goes back to Reza Shah period,is in real danger of destruction and a part of this place might be taken by Tehran Municipality.
Many polish soldiers and officers of the second world war, many physicians in Pahlavi Court and many Armenian artists and Catholics and evangelicals; has buried in this cemetery.
Some of the Christian cemeteries in Tehran, are also in the danger of destruction, such as the International cemetery of Evangelical Christians in Tehran which some of the graves were replaced about six years ago. This occured due to the road construction from Tehran to Qom.
Before the Islamic revolution in 1978, many Christians were living in Kermanshah. The first hospital in the western part of Iran, “west minister hospital” (Jesus Hospital) was built by American physicians in Kermanshah.
Also an Armenian church was destroyed which was located in Shariati street.
The British Consulates in Ghadir square ( Shahnaz) and the Iran-American Association buildings were destroyed by the Islamic Republic over time.
